Chris Bourne qualified from Cambridge University in 1990 having gained an Open Entrance Scholarship.  He immediately joined Shipston Veterinary Centre and has worked in the Practice ever since, becoming a partner in 1995 and a Director in 2003.  He enjoys music and hill-walking when he has time!

Victoria Organ graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 1994. Victoria has been a valued member of the team and worked part-time at Shipston Veterinary Centre for more than 12 years.  She is married to a farmer and has three children.

Emily Emerson qualified from Liverpool University and started working part-time at Shipston Veterinary Centre in Spring 2017.  She is kept busy by her two young boys.

Julie Lawrence graduated from Bristol University in 2014. Julie worked with us at Shipston for 2.5 years, and then went to gain more experience in busy Bristol practices. Julie has returned to us in October 2019, to continue with her clinical work and to assist Chris with the running of the clinical team. Outside of work, Julie enjoys travelling, working with sheep, and exploring National Trusts far and wide!

Alex Pounder graduated from Kosice University in Slovakia.  He is a native Briton and enjoys learning new languages, playing several musical instruments, sketching and cooking.

Corina Prisada graduated from Cluj-Napoca in Romania in 2012.  She has a young family of three and her husband is also a vet.  She has worked as a human nurse and enjoys learning English, at which she already excels!

Katie Thexton graduated from the Royal veterinary College in 2019. Prior to this Katie achieved an honours degree in Bioveterinary Science at Hartbury College. Katie enjoys all aspects of veterinary work, but in particular small animal medicine. At home Katie enjoys the company of Mickie, her 15 year old cat, and likes to cook and socialise with her friends.

Times are variable. 

From February 2019, we are offering morning appointments between 9.30 and 10.30 a.m. for a trial period (weekdays except Tuesday)


All consultations at both surgeries are by appointment only


Please note that in emergency out of hours, the same number should be dialled.  Listen to the message, then dial 7 to be put through to the Emergency Vet.

Lou Grimes 


We are pleased to welcome back from maternity leave Lou, one of our valued nursing assistants. 



Katie Thexton


Katie has joined the practice in October 2019.  We are so pleased to have Katie on the team.  She likes cooking and skiing


Julie Lawrence


We are delighted to welcome Julie back to Shipston Veterinary Centre.  Julie worked with us for three years before moving to Bristol.  She is moving back into the Cotswolds in October.

Julie likes bell-ringing and her Guinea-pigs!



Wellness Clinics


From March 2019, we are starting to run Wellness Clinics with nursing staff at our Shipston site for Cats and Dogs over 8. These are to check for hidden problems in older patients.  Finding problems early is the key to health in old age.
